Electrical

Power Rating

Specify the required power by calculating secondary voltage multiplied by current. ex. 10 kVA. QT&E supports power ranges from:

1 VA - 1 kVA
1 kVA - 100 kVA
100 kVA - 2 MVA

Frequency

Define the operating frequency of your system (e.g., 50 Hz, 60 Hz, or custom). ex. 60 Hz. QT&E supports frequencies from:

50 Hz or 60 Hz
400 Hz - 20 kHz

Phases

Choose between single-phase or three-phase configurations to match your application requirements; QT&E designs for both types. ex. 3PH.

Inputs & Outputs

Indicate the number, voltage, and current ratings for primary and secondary windings; QT&E accommodates a wide range of configurations and load profiles. ex. Input: 480V, Output: 120/240V split-phase.

Isolation

Inrush

Detail any limitations on inrush current for your application; QT&E designs transformers with low inrush or soft-start options. ex. 5x full-load current for 10 milliseconds

Impedance

K-rating

Specify a K-factor to handle harmonic loads. ex. K-13 (designed for harmonic loads in data centers). QT&E supports:

K-1 (standard)

Short-circuit strength

Define the fault tolerance requirements; QT&E designs transformers to withstand high fault currents up to 100 kA. ex. Withstands 25 kA for 1 second

Efficiency Standard

Choose an efficiency standard (e.g., DOE 2016, NEMA Premium); QT&E ensures compliance with the highest energy efficiency benchmarks. ex. NEMA TP-1 or DOE 2016 Compliant

Noise suppression

Indicate the need for minimizing audible or electrical noise; QT&E incorporates low-noise laminations and shielding for sensitive environments. ex. 40 dB attenuation at 1 kHz

Ground loop elimination

State requirements for reducing ground loops in your system; QT&E designs with specialized grounding and isolation techniques. ex. Floating secondary with ground shield

Shielding

Specify electromagnetic or electrostatic shielding to prevent interference; QT&E offers designs with custom shielding options. ex. Faraday shield with 90% attenuation

Low Leakage Current

Define acceptable leakage current levels for safety or regulatory compliance; QT&E produces designs with minimized leakage current. ex. < 300 μA

Phase Angle Control

Harmonic Mitigation

Mechanical

Temperature Rise

Specify the allowable temperature rise above ambient for your application (measured in °C), typically based on insulation class or operational needs. ex. 80°C (standard for Class B).

Dimensions

Define the physical size constraints (height, width, depth) to fit your installation space. ex. H: 24 in, W: 18 in, D: 12 in

Terminal Configuration

Specify the type of terminals required, including material (e.g., copper or aluminum), plating, and configuration (e.g., screw, stud, or busbar) based on conductivity and installation needs. ex. Tin-plated copper busbars with 3/8-inch studs. Options include:

Enclosure

Notifications
